We have been learning about the Russian Painter Wallisy Kandinsky in Year 3.  We have used his painting 'Concentric Circles in Squares' to inspire our art this half term.  We have made our own secondary colours by mixing 2 primary colours, and then we used a primary colour mixed with a secondary colour to make a tertiary colour.

We have also learnt about tints, where you add white to colour and shades where you add black to a colour.  We will be using this to make our own pictures.  We also tried out different media to see which gave us the effect we wanted for our pictures.  We had to evaluate this and say why we like the ones we did.
